- Article 1: Offer The company GIE TAXI’s purpose is the transportation of individuals for consideration. To this end, it provides users, through its website GIE TAXI, with a software for booking vehicles with drivers for both individuals and professionals.
- Article 2: Reservation Any reservation must be made by the Client or by a duly authorized representative. For any reservation, the client must provide the following information: Customer information: Name, first name, telephone number, email, and residential address. Information about the journey: Date and time of pick-up, departure and arrival locations, number of passengers, need for a booster seat, number of luggage pieces, as well as the flight or train number if applicable.
- Article 3: Cancellation and Modification The client may request the cancellation of the service up to 24 hours before the scheduled pick-up date and time and obtain a refund of the amounts paid. The service provider may cancel the client’s transport in case of force majeure, in which case the client may be entitled to compensation. The service provider may also cancel the transport if the client does not show up at the agreed-upon location, beyond a deadline set at 15 minutes. In this latter case, the client will be charged for the missed appointment. Any modification of the journey by the client during the service, resulting in changes to the itinerary, may incur additional charges to be paid on-site or at the end of the service.
- Article 4: Availability Any availability service must be subject to a written reservation. It must be made by the client or by a duly authorized representative. Any reservation must necessarily mention the place of performance of the service, the number of passengers, and the name as well as the contact details of the beneficiary of the service if different from those of the client. Any cancellation of availability must be reported 48 hours before the start of the service. In default and for any reason whatsoever, a fixed and non-deductible penalty equal to the initially planned amount will be due upon reservation. The service is only valid once, and if it turns out that the client was not present at the meeting point, the service will be definitively lost and will not entitle to any refund. Any waiting time beyond a one-hour grace period will be charged at the hourly rate mentioned in our rates for the reserved vehicle category.
- Article 5: Rates The rates communicated by our booking module are indicative and may vary depending on the period or desired time. To obtain confirmation of the rates, the client must request a quote online via the contact form CONTACT US. The transfer rate applies to direct travel without stopping from the pick-up point to the destination, with the service ending immediately thereafter. The amount of luggage transported is proportional to the capacity of the vehicle. The prices indicated include the vehicle, the driver service, insurance for the transported persons, fuel, kilometers, and time determined at the time of booking and/or at the conclusion of the contract as well as the transport of the client’s luggage within the limits of the vehicle’s capacity. The cost of tolls, parking, parking spaces, or entry into any places chosen by the client and/or deemed necessary for the performance of the service not initially provided for in the itinerary remain the responsibility of the client. The price given corresponds to a price per vehicle, regardless of the number of people (from 1 to 4 people for the SEDAN range, for example). - Article 6: Payment For occasional clients, our services are payable upon reservation (online payment via Stripe) or on board the vehicle by credit card (payment by POS via SumUp) or in cash. For account customers, invoices are payable upon receipt by bank transfer. Any invoice not paid within 5 days following the invoicing date of the service automatically incurs penalties of €40 and an amount equal to 3 times the legal interest rate. In all cases, the client, as the signatory of the reservation, is solely responsible for the payment of the service.
- Article 7: Limitation of Liability Clauses GIE TAXI undertakes to do its utmost to transport the passenger to the destination in the shortest possible time and under optimal safety conditions in accordance with the Highway Code and applicable laws. LA CENTRALE DE TAXI cannot be held responsible under any circumstances for delays in transport times due to circumstances beyond its control: road closures, bridges closed to traffic, diversions, flooded roads, traffic jams, interventions on the road by police, customs, or firefighters, etc. (without this list being exhaustive). GIE TAXI cannot be held responsible under any circumstances for delays due to force majeure events: strikes, weather conditions, terrorist attacks, riots, etc. (without this list being exhaustive). GIE TAXI cannot be held responsible under any circumstances for delays directly resulting from an initial delay by a client, or from the need to make a journey, at the client’s request, within a manifestly too short timeframe. In the event of immobilization of the vehicle during the journey due to mechanical failure, an accident, or damage (theft, damage), GIE TAXI will endeavor to ensure the continuity of the journey, either with one of its vehicles or with a vehicle chartered from another company, and undertakes to notify the ordering party. The luggage or any other property of the client remains the responsibility of the person being transported. The driver is obliged to comply with the various regulations applicable to the circulation of vehicles and to ensure, in the context of the performance of the service, that the necessary measures are taken to ensure the safety of the occupants of the vehicle and the proper preservation of the vehicle. Thus, the driver expressly reserves the right to refuse any instructions and/or requests from the client that he considers to be likely to compromise the safety of the occupants of the vehicle and/or the proper preservation thereof. The number of authorized passengers (including the driver) is that indicated in the technical specifications of the Vehicle. It may never be exceeded. Damages of any kind caused to the vehicle and/or other vehicles (for example, when opening doors unexpectedly) will be the responsibility of the client unless it is proven that they originate from a third party. The occupants of the vehicle, employees, providers, and guests of the client cannot be considered as third parties. GIE TAXI reserves the right to interrupt the ongoing service if the driver becomes aware that the client is committing an offense, such as drug use, or if the behavior of the clients jeopardizes the safety of the driver, or if the clients are insulting to the driver. The transport of animals is prohibited except in the case of animals (dogs) accompanying visually impaired persons. In the event that GIE TAXI is unable to provide the planned vehicle under the contract, the deposit will be refunded unless the two parties agree to provide another vehicle. GIE TAXI reserves the right not to perform the service in the event of the occurrence of force majeure, fortuitous event, third-party action, or any event that may present a risk to the client, his guests, his employees, the driver, or the vehicle. In this context, the total or partial non-performance of the service cannot give rise to any compensation for the client. GIE TAXI is not obliged to keep luggage or any other objects, goods, clothing, effects, etc., left in the vehicle during and after the service. - Article 8: Insurance The liability of the company GIE TAXI is limited to the clauses of its insurance contracts. Our vehicles are insured for the transportation of persons and our passengers for all bodily injuries and also for professional liability with our insurer MAAF. The ordering party will have the option to take out additional insurance at their expense for cancellation fees, repatriation costs, or coverage of transported luggage, without this list being exhaustive.
- Article 9: Police and Security Rules The vehicle and the driver will be equipped with the necessary on-board documents for the smooth running of the transport service. In accordance with the law applicable in all public places, smoking is strictly prohibited on board our vehicles. In accordance with the provisions of the drinks code, the consumption of alcoholic beverages on board our vehicles is prohibited. Wearing a seat belt is mandatory for all passengers in vehicles equipped with this equipment.
- Article 10: Collection of Personal Data The company GIE TAXI undertakes to respect the privacy of its clients. The personal information and other data communicated will only be used for the purpose of improving the service provided and will not be transmitted to third parties under any circumstances.
